King Charles the Simple is single malt, fresh hop saison that is brewed in the French tradition, but with a Mad Swede twist. We took a classic style saison base and added a boatload of hops to it. The aroma is reminiscent of lemongrass, citrus, and clove. Flavor wise this beer starts with strong citrusy brightness contrasted by peppery dry finish. Pairing wise, this beer can stand up to a ton of different flavors. It would compliment a bright citrusy salad, enhance a spicy pad thai, or provide a lovely contrast to funky cheeses.
