WA Beer Commission Celebrates 1st Annual Winter Beer Fest' & Winter Beers discussion
Starting this November 30th & December 1st, the Washington Beer Commission in collaboration with Hale's Palladium will be offering over 25 different winter beers of both type and strength.
To some the term Winter stirs up thoughts of hot chocolate, slay rides, snow, and the occasional chill that can only be warmed away by a nice hot cider. To others, Winter much like Fall ushers in darker colored ales, which feature strong toffee, roasted, and sweet flavors not found during the bright Spring and Summer months. With these dark, richer ales comes stronger alcohol that coarse a path of warmth, all the way down your throat.
The following will be featured at the festival (beer subject to change)

Some of the more sought after winter beers are ...
Stone Brewing Co. "Double Bastard" Ale, a strong ale that floats around the 10.00% Alcohol by Volume, and usually arrives around late October early November.
Anchor Brewing Co. "Our Special" Ale, sometimes also known also as "Christmas Ale", this dark brown ale, features cinnamon, molasses, raisins, sometimes plum, and a different spice each year. One of the oldest ales, this one can easily sit in your hand as well as age for a few years in the back of your fridge for a whole new taste.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. "Celebration" Ale, a citrus and piney flavored India Pale Ale, with a wonderful aroma that is sweet and with pine notes. A favorite of mine and I even have a few from years back in my fridge.
Did I miss something lemme know.
Cheers
