(BC) Get It Now (Again) … Grainville Island’s Pumpkin Ale

image of Grainville Island Pumpkin Ale, courtesy of the brewery Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – Hard to believe but in a short while it will be October (not Oktober) and thoughts will start leaning towards fall.

October also is a time for people to seek out the inspiring fields of pumpkin patches, consume hot apple cider, and begin the process of preparing for winter.

For those of us in the Northwest it is also the welcome sight of local breweries and their variations on Pumpkin ales and lagers. Grainville Island out of B.C. was happy to remind us, that the United States is not the only brewery in the Northwest that knows pumpkins.

“Our limited releases complement the best of every season, and our Pumpkin Ale is no exception!” says Granville Island Brewing brewmaster Vern Lambourne. “Its earthy undertones lend a unique twist to this untraditional ale. With its burnt orange colour and roasted pumpkin and spice flavours, this ale reflects our city’s flavourful transition into fall.”

Pumpkin Ale is a delicious accompaniment to rich stews, pumpkin pie and quiches. What better way to relax this fall than with a Pumpkin Ale! Pumpkin Ale is available in individual 650ml bottles for a limited time only, in select Lower Mainland government liquor stores and at our Granville Island retail store, for $5.30/650ml bottle. Visit bcliquorstores.com for stores and availability.
