Hard to believe it’s almost the weekend and already there’s an announcement that’ll make you wish it was next Saturday (7/16).

Located north in the border city Bellingham, Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen is proud to announce their third consecutive year of brewing in the Northwest. For those without a calendar this coming Saturday July 16th the brewery is inviting you to stop in to help them celebrate.

Bellingham's Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen is pleased to announce their 3rd year anniversary celebration on Saturday, July 16 starting at 11:30am. To help raise a toast pints  will be priced at $3.50 all day and Jesse Morrow with Russell Turner will play music at 8pm, all ages welcome. Mari and Will Kemper opened the doors to Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in July 2008 after returning from brewing across the United States, Mexico, and Istanbul, Turkey.

After starting Thomas Kemper Brewery (Poulsbo, WA), Will Kemper went on to be a brewmaster, brewing consultant and engineer at such breweries as Norwester Beers (Portland, OR), Aviator Ales (Seattle), Dock Street Brewpub (Philadelphia), Mile High Brewery (Denver, CO), Mill City Brewing (Lowell, MA), Capital City Brewing (Washington, DC), Sierra Madre Brewing Company (Monterrey, Mexico), and TAPS Brewery (Istanbul, Turkey). The Kempers were pioneers in the micro-brewing movement in WA state.

Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen won national Small Brewpub of the Year 2009 from the Great American Beer Festival, Denver, CO. Chuckanut continues to win awards for their European style beers every year since opening. Most recently the brewery won 5 awards at the national North American Beer Awards for both their lager and ale beers. The Kitchen is also known for it's locally sourced Locavore Menu, and entrees, housemade dressings, desserts, and sauces made with Chuckanut beer.
