Event Planner: WA: Black Raven’s Anniversary Party is 5/5

image of Black Raven Tamerlane Brown Porter, courtesy of our Flickr page It’s Friday and you know what means, last minute mentions of weekend events. Yes it’s that time again when this writer randomizes you with reminders of beer-inspired parties, all in the sake of ‘living’ for one more day.

This time around we’re promoting that already heavily mentioned, and much anticipated party, known as the Black Raven Anniversary.

Situated off 95th in quiet Redmond, Black Raven is celebrating their 3rd Year of providing the area with hard to find, but damn good, beers.

image courtesy of Black Raven BrewingSo for those new to Redmond and or Black Raven’s Anniversary party the details are simple, music, food, beer, and cash only. If you didn’t catch that last part it, it’s cash only. This isn’t a slight against the brewery, it’s just a simplified approach to getting you to your beer or food faster. Do not fret it though if you show up with a DEBIT card, as they will have an ATM on site.

A couple of big gotchas. 1. Last Call is at 8:15 and 2. the Event Ends at 9:00 PM. So no hanging out in the parking lot.

Rare Birds

image of Black Raven Wisdom Seeker in Bottles, courtesy of our Flickr pageNo explanation should be necessary. But those new to the novelty, this means that the brewery set aside a keg (or two) of limited release beer, for this party. This also means that when it’s gone, it won’t be coming back to the party.

  • Wisdom Seeker Double IPA
  • Old Birdbrain 2011 Barleywine
  • Feral Saison
  • Schwarzeit Black Lager
  • Gunpowder Plot Porter
  • Kitty Kat Blues Pale
  • La Petite Mort 2011
  • Splinters
  • Pour Les Oiseaux
  • Raven de Garde
  • El Beaux Lager
  • Grandfather Raven 2011
  • Possible surprise?

Casks

See our previous comments (regarding Rare Birds) as these are more than likely limited run beers as well.

*From the Brewery “… LIMITED, RARE AND CASK BEERS CAN POUR AT RANDOM TIMES. MOST OF THESE BEERS ARE ONLY 1 OR TWO KEGS. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE 3-4 POURING AT ANY GIVEN TIME.”

  • La Petite Mort Fonce
  • Coco Jones Coconut Porter
  • Snickerdoodle Stout
  • Possum Claus Pecan Brown

Food

Ok, you deserve a bite to eat if you have read this far.

This writer, genuinely wishes Beaux and the rest of the crew at Black Raven the best of luck in the coming years. Congratulations on changing minds and proving that there are more than one brewery in Redmond.

Cheers
