But very rarely am I given an opportunity to promote or discuss a local brewery who has expanded their distribution to include another state in the Pacific Northwest.

Introducing Breakside Salted Caramel Stout, the latest beer to be released outside their native Oregon.

A collaboration with Salt & Straw Ice Cream, Salted Caramel Stout has been one of our most popular draft seasonal brews now for the first time available in bottles. A rich stout base mixes with sea salt and specially made salted. this beer is rich and balanced with a luscious caramel flavor in the mid palate, a hint of salt in the finish, and a smooth roastiness.

At 6.70% ABV and 28 IBUs, Salted Caramel Stout is a mixture of malts Two Row, Chocolate, Roasted Barley, CaraMunich, and Flaked Barley. For those hop heads out there you’ll be pleased to know that Newport hops were used throughout the development. Additional ingredients include salted caramel and sea salt.

As part of their commitment to inspire you to try Breakside Brews, brewers Ben Edmunds and Sam Barber will be in Seattle to answer your questions about this or other Breakside beers.
