Festival News: Canada: British Columbia: Whistler: "Whistler Village Beer Festival" announces expansion of breweries to 70

Press Release

Whistler, British Columbia – ... : The Whistler Village Beer Festival (Sept 16-20, 2015) was pretty pleased when it announced that they were going to have 35-40 different breweries pouring on the Saturday and Sunday during their weekend long tasting event, but thanks to some site approvals they’re now able to offer guests the full brewery line up each day. This means there will be more choice, more chances and even more fun!

Thanks to the festivals good standing and positive effect on the resort’s economy, the Resort Municipality of Whistler put the stamp of approval on a 40% expansion of the grounds, allowing the festival to accommodate all the breweries at once, rather than split them up over the two days. The expanded site will be hosting approximately 70 booths, a main music stage, food trucks, retail booths, and two VIP lounges.

“ We were so excited when the approval came through,” says, Liam Peyton, Festival Director. “Being able to offer our guests, and the attending breweries, the best experience at the festival is what we’re striving for and this does just that. We’re putting around 70 breweries in front of beer lovers for two days – with the sun shining, bands playing and mountains in the background it’s going to be a spectacular event.”
