Fresh Hop Ale - Beardslee Public House
Hop harvest comes only once a year and we’re lucky to live close to one of the major hop-growing regions of the world (Yakima). Fresh hops are very delicate and need to be processed within 24 hours of harvest, and that’s exactly what we did. Head brewer Drew Cluley drove out to Carpenter Ranch in Zillah, Wash. at daybreak to retrieve 75 pounds of fresh mosaic hops – which have notes of tangerine and papaya. They went into our wort within seven hours of harvest. It doesn’t get much fresher than that! 6.5% ABV / 55 IBU
Citra-EE Fresh Hop Ipa – Brickyard Brewing
