Beardslee Public House announces two news beers and celebrates three days of Earth Day

After a period of radio-silence, the brewers at Beardslee Public House are happy to announce two new beers, Make Me Hoppy IPA and Dortmunder Lager.

The Make Me Hoppy IPA is a double India Pale Ale featuring Galaxy and Mosaic Hops.  This is the first beer from Beardslee using Cryo Hops ( or hop kief  - only the resinous glands of the hop cones ).

Weighing in at 7.5% ABV and 65 IBU, it should pair well with Mariners baseball games or after a frustrating match against Sounders FC.

Dortmunder Lager is a German style export lager.  This style originated in the city of Dortmund and was popular with coal miners in the area.  For our take on this style we used all Washington malt from Skagit Malting Co in Mt Vernon, and paired it with German Topaz and Hallertau Tradition hops.

For any brewery, a lager is a rare treat, as it requires weeks of patience and attention. Which is why the brewery didn't disappoint with a beer that arrived at 5.25% ABV and a mild bitterness of 30 IBU.

Both are on draft or available to take home in growlers or crowlers.

And 420?

Well, if you're like most people, with a mind for the immature, you've no doubt snickered whenever someone says 4:20. Often associated with indulging in the smoking of a certain (herb), the numbers are also synonymous with Earth Day. Well, technically that isn't true since Earth Day falls on April 22nd.

But for those whose minds have drifted towards April 20th, Beardslee Public House would like you to know they have your back.

Starting on Friday, April 20th, the brewery will be discounting their Green Leaf IPA and their Brick Oven Brown, all day, for $4.20. Then at 9 pm, the brewery will feature Pineapple Express which will be paired with a cocktail inspired by the film. Oh and don't forget, Crowlers will be $5.

Following Friday, BPH will celebrate the uniform made famous in the 60's, with a Tie Dye Party from 1 pm - 4 pm. For $10 you receive a shirt, access to the on-site supplies to dye it. Oh and just like Friday, Crowlers will be $5.

Finally, on Sunday, April 22nd, the brewery celebrates Earth Day with all day $5 crowlers.

Beardslee Public House is located at 19116 Beardslee Blvd #201 in Bothell, WA.
