Don't miss Human People Beer's beer sale behind Stoup Brewing on August 17th from 12 pm to 6 pm.

Largely discussed in the industry, and with a ton of collaboration credit under their belts, Human People Beer is releasing their first beer. Well, technically, it’s their first beer not designed in collaboration with another brewery. And it's being sold, behind Stoup Brewing in Ballard.

So, wait, did Stoup Brewing make the beer? Or did Human People Beer make it? Here's how this works.

Speaking with Human People Beer co-founder Andrew Schwartz, they shared some details.

Operating with an alternating proprietorship agreement, inside the same building that hosts Stoup Brewing, Human People essentially brews, cellars, and packages their beers. Or, as Andrew Schwartz puts it, "It’s technically and legally our brewery in a way. We just use their facility."

Technical terms aside, these releases are the purest reflection of the brewery’s approach to brewing in the area.

Founded by co-owners Andrew Schwartz, Tim Kamolz and Mallorie King, Human People is the latest brewery to turn heads in the area. Course, it wouldn’t have been possible had Andrew Schwartz and Tim Kamolz not met up while working at Modern Times Beer in San Diego. With plans to open a taproom, eventually, the trio continues to show their approach to brewing through collaborations with various breweries in the region.

In other words, stop by Stoup Brewing’s O.G. Ballard location, at 1108 NW 52nd St (Seattle, WA), on August 17th!

From noon to 6 pm, on the back end of the building, Human People Brewing is selling a four-pack of their Piknik Pils and Finding Shore Hoppy Ale.

More on Finding Shore

A hoppy ale beyond perception. Aromatic expanses of drippy mango, peach nectar, and strawberry jam, balanced by cumulus clouds of oats and unmalted wheat. Finding Shore echoes with white foam, aureate opaqueness, essential stuff.

More on Piknik Pilsner

Brewed for Seattle, inspired by the Slovenian Alps. Piknik was brewed with a blend of distinctive European Pilsner malts and the unique Styrian Bobek hop, giving it a pleasant bitterness hugged by a soft malt flavor. Piknik was open fermented at 46F, cold conditioned at 31F for forever, and naturally carbonated. It pours clear with a rocky, distinctive head. Brewed specifically for picnic tables and friendly chats about what we see in the clouds.

Besides their two beers, Human People is selling their merch’ for those interested in promoting one of Seattle’s newer breweries.

And hey, while you’re there, and Human People Beer didn’t say this, but why not grab a pint at Stoup’s taproom space.
