Beer Release: NW: Coming Soon … Alaskan Brewing releases their Anniversary Ale, Perseverance Russian Imperial Stout

As of September 2011, Alaskan Brewing will be 25 year’s old. While that number seems insignificant to most, that is definitely an achievement in the brewing community. To put that into perspective Sierra Nevada (makers of famous Pale Ale) and Redhook Brewery (makers of that familiar ESB) are 30! Granted when one compares Budweiser, Miller, Coors, or even Yuengling, this is a drop in the bucket.

Still 25 years is nothing to shrug at in the realm of great beer. So with that we are happy to announce the release of Alaskan’s Anniversary Ale, Perseverance.

Alaskan has been brewing in the remote coastal town of Juneau, Alaska for the last 25 incredible years. To celebrate this tradition, the Brew Crew created Alaskan Perseverance Ale; a Russian Imperial Stout brewed with Alaska birch syrup, fireweed honey and alder-smoked malt – a tribute to all that makes Alaskan beers truly Alaskan.
