In case it was unclear, Seattle's Safeco Field has been recognized (by CNBC) as the one of strongest champions for craft beer (in ballparks) in the United States. A fan simply needs to walk a few feet to find breweries like Deschutes, Georgetown, or Sierra Nevada side-by-side with imports like Budweiser, Miller, or Stella Artois. Could the prominent amount of Manny's Pale Ale or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale be due to Seattle's craft beer awareness? Or are the Mariners and Safeco Field ahead of the craft beer trend? Right now many can't answer that question, including the Seattle Mariners' organization.

So rather than search for an answer to why the 'Safe' loves craft beer they are co-sponsoring a unique event this May 9th. In cooperation with Great Artisan Beverages, the 4th Annual "Beers and Brats in the Outfield" returns during the Friday home game against the Kansas City Royals. Only 200 seats are available and must be purchased by no later than May 5th.

Included in your purchase is tickets to see the Seattle Mariners versus the Kansas City Royals, access to the Patio prior to the game, including all you can eat brats from the buffet, and a select number of beers from one of six participating breweries.

This year the Mariners and Great Artisan Beverage are happy to announce the following breweries will be participating.
  • Black Raven Brewing Co.
  • Good Life Brewing Co.
  • Fremont Brewing Co.
  • Bale Breaker Brewing Co.
  • Schooner Exact Brewing Co.
  • & representing Kansas City (MO) Boulevard Brewing Co.

Food and beer will be available from 5:10pm to first pitch (7:10pm). For tickets and additional information, please visit the Seattle's Mariners' Beers and Brats in the Outfield page via the Mariners website.
