Located in Cle Elum, Washington, Taneum Creek Brewing remains an overlooked brewery along Washington scenic Interstate 90. Either on your way to Walla Walla Wine Country or day-tripping in Seattle, Taneum Creek Brewing invites you to stop by. But, like so many breweries who are slowly picking up the pieces from three years of uncertainty, the brewery is finally ready to expand their business, starting with a tasting room.

Announced last week, via the website, owner Gabe Gorton is partially funding the expansion of his tasting room through proceeds received from his Bottle Club. With only 25 spots secured, the brewery is now adding a 75 memberships to make it an even 100.

Referring to the link he shared, Gorton stated this wasn’t just about a tasting room.

I mean a tasting room and possibly some additional production space. Our garage is great and all but space is tight (see above) and it doesn't allow for you to try our beers or us to sit down and talk with you about them. We have been casually looking for about the last year and a half and think we may have found the one. We are actively perusing it and doing our due dillagance to make sure the space is the right fit. Now, we are looking for help to make it happen. What can you do to help? Join our bottle club!

In exchange for your commitment, he’s offering a case of 6 unique releases, 2 each, spread over two periods in 2023. Obviously, potential commitments have questions, starting with what sort of releases is Gabe Orton willing to share.

For starters, the releases are one case per person, with the first one shipped free or picked up in person, or deferred for the second release. All bottles will need to be picked up or shipped by a month after the second release and any remaining after will be redistributed to the public.

There will be a member-exclusive event once per year, like as part of the second release. Details are still in development, but Orton is shooting for around late Summer early Fall. Optimistically, the brewery hopes the second release and the coinciding event will occur after the completion of the tasting room, with an alternate location decided if the former isn’t ready.

Finally, a few more minor details included in the membership including. Early access to all releases, via an email one week prior, first rights to any unclaimed Bottle Club releases, 15% off online and in person purchases, including retail purchases. Again, here’s Taneum Creek’s Gabe Orton.

Sounds like an alright deal, right? And it helps us get a tasting room up and going again. There are 3 membership lengths that will help us achieve this goal:
1 year = $300 = $25 per bottle average + shipping/private event
2 year = $500 = $20.83 per bottle average + shipping/private event
5 year = $1,000 = $16.67 per bottle average + shipping/private event

Membership years are from April 1 to March 31. Membership renewal will take place from January 1 to March 31. Any memberships not renewed in that time become available to the public. No current memberships need to be renewed at this time.

Proxies are welcome for those that live out of state or cant make it to pick up. We just require it be coordinated with us ahead of time and the proxy be 21+
