June 25, 2024 (Whistler, BC): The Whistler Village Beer Festival (WVBF), presented by Gibbons Whistler & Brewhalla, is thrilled to unveil the music lineup for the 11th edition of the Main Event. On Saturday, September 14, four exceptional live acts from the Sea to Sky corridor will perform for an audience of 3,500 attendees.
Kicking off the Main Event is the Big Love Band, bringing their unique “Big Love” twist to well-known favorites. Originating from the mountains of Whistler, this band combines baritone vocals, country rock guitars, and foot-stomping fiddle, creating an irresistible energy in their music.
Making their debut on the music scene, Fresh Cut Grass, a five-piece ensemble from Squamish, BC, will keep the momentum going into the afternoon. They’ll be bringing 90’s and 2000’s nostalgia with their alt-rock and emo vibes.
Festival favorites, Red Chair, will close the event with a high-energy set covering rock hits from the ‘50s to today. Red Chair has been a staple at the beerfest for many years, delivering a rock and roll experience that is a must-see and hear!
Ensuring the Main Event runs smoothly is Whistler’s favorite DJ, as voted by Pique Newsmagazine readers for six years, DJ Foxy Moron. Known for her turntable skills and love for 45’s and all music genres, she regularly performs at Basscoast and Shambhala. Accompanying her is Sea to Sky legend, Feet Banks, on the mic, ensuring the beats keep flowing and the good times keep rolling!
In addition to live music, WVBF’s Main Event will feature over 40 craft beverage manufacturers pouring more than 80 varieties of cider, beer, canned cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. Attendees can also enjoy food trucks, lawn games, and more. General Admission Tickets are on sale now.
