Brewery News: WA: Silver City Brewing responds after taking home 6 medals at this year’s NABA

Silver City Brewery, the Kitsap Peninsula, Washington’s premier Award winning brewery is excited to announce the results from 2011’s North American Beer Awards. In all, 6 Silver City Brews were awarded 6 medals, 3 Gold’s, 1 Silver, & 2 Bronze. Silver City flagship Ridgetop Red Ale won gold in the Irish Red Category, Winterbock won gold in the Traditional Bock category, Old Scrooge defends it’s gold crown in the English Old Ale category rounding out the gold winners. Clear Creek Pale Ale was the English Pale Ale category silver medalist. Copper Mountain Bock in the Marzen category & Fat Scotch Ale in the Scotch Ale category brought home the Bronze.

With the 6 NABA awards added in brewmaster Big Daddy Don Spencer’s has a nearly 60 medal strong medal collection.

In response to learning the results Big Daddy had this to say. “It feels great to be recognized and makes me so proud of the team we have. We must be doing something right.” Don added that “I’m most proud of the consistency & continuity in which we have garnered accolades such as these that has allowed us to be mentioned amongst some of the best breweries in the US” -

Ridgetop Red Ale & Fat Scotch Ale are available year round at Silver City Restaurant & at numerous grocery stores, bars & restaurants around the Puget Sound. Clear Creek Pale Ale is available year round at the Silver City’s Flagship Restaurant. Copper Mountain Bock is a spring seasonal, Old Scrooge is a Holiday Seasonal, and Winterbock is a winter seasonal. All three are available “in season” at Silver City Restaurant and select grocery stores, bars, & restaurants around the Puget Sound.
