Beer Release: BC: Get It Now … Fernie Brewing’s Lone Wolf Pale Ale
All too often this website misses opportunities to speak about our friend to the north. I mean Canada and not Washington state or Bellingham.
So whenever possible this writer jumps at a chance to promote British Columbia, like Fernie Brewing Co.
Fernie Brewing Co., has a fresh, new and exciting product hitting the shelves this month. May we introduce to you our new and delectable India Pale Ale, going by the name of Lone Wolf. Joining the already popular and familiar line-up of 650ml bottles, the Lone Wolf is set to be a sure fire winner this spring and beyond.
As FBC’s Brewmaster describes, “FBC is introducing a classic North West India Pale Ale. Four select malts in combination with four classic hop varieties and time honoured traditional brewery methods including dry hopping, results in a golden-ale with exceptional flavour and complexity. A true IPA in every sense.” It couldn’t get much better than that.
So what gives? Why all the sudden release a beer that was available on draught throughout BC? The answer is simple, beer stalkers. After being hammered repeatedly by F.B.C. (Fernie Brewing Co.) loyalists, the brewery gave in and is announcing the release of bottled Lone Wolf India Pale Ale.
The brewery would like to remind people that beside the Lone Wolf India Pale going through some changes, their regular line-up will as well. Look for Huck, Ol’ Willy Wit, The Griz Pale Ale, & Sap Sucker to have that unfamiliar look as well starting this March.

Established in 2003, Fernie Brewing Company has been Brewing up a Business. In fact, so much so, we’ve already had to build ourselves a New Brewery.
We have now been situated at 26 Manitou Road, just outside Fernie for the past 3 years. Our larger Brewhouse features a Tap Room & Brewery Store, and an additional 5,000 square foot production facility with a new state of the art Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System and additional Fermentation Tanks to keep up with demand.
To further our developments and to please you enthusiasts out there, in May 2010 we purchased a bottling machine. This exciting new addition enabled us to add 650ml bottles of What the Huck and Ol' Willy Wit to our existing year round repertoire of 6-packs of cans and our 12 can sampler packs and kegs. Allowing us to produce cost-effective and seasonal small batch brews. The bottler kicked in at a perfect time, ensuring bottles of FBC's two newest family members What the Huck - Huckleberry Wheat and Ol' Willy Wit - Belgian White Ale, hit the shelves before Summer 2010 got underway.
