In fact things got so heated, this year, that San Francisco radio stations were urging listeners to avoid Seattle-based businesses, until after the playoffs. Some might say that Seattle (and pretty much the state of Washington) brewers have a slight dislike for how successful California has been, as it relates to beer awards. Or maybe you're one of the exceptions who prefers a Stone Ruination over a Reuben's Imperial Rye. If you're one who thinks California is better than Washington or Oregon, then you need to stop by Burgundian (2253 N 56th Street) this Wednesday.

During the first contest, the Oregon Showdown, the Burgundian invited people to drop by and enjoy a few beers from the Beaver state. After the dust settled 1 brewery was voted favorite and will be asked to return during Seattle Beer Week. This Wednesday five California breweries have been invited to submit beers for voting consideration. The party starts at 6pm
