Beer Release: WA: Get It Now … Populuxe Expansion India Pale Ale

It’s a fact that Washington is flush, with over 200 breweries. What’s often lost is how many breweries are categorized as ‘nano’ or those that brew less than 3 barrels at a time. Starting small is easily a cautious way to start a brewery business. Unfortunately this leaves little room for distribution. Even still, this encourages a lack of recycled, seasonal or annual beers.

Located in Ballard, Populuxe Brewing has been experimenting with different recipes, ever since they opened. During that time they have brewed numerous india pale ales, saisons, & porters, to name a few. Regrettably, much like other nano breweries, Populuxe has failed to create at least three consistently available beers. True, some might argue beers like Beer Snob Brown and American Blond are often online. Unfortunately, with 10 draft lines, beers do get lost in the shuffle in an effort to showcase the latest recipes.

Did we mention the brewery recently expanded their brewery capacity?

Brewed with “… bold flavors and intense aromas of hop-forward Northwest style IPAs …”, Expansion IPA has been released to celebrate their expansion and Summer .In fact the brewery has indicated they will have Expansion India Pale Ale available throughout the season.
