Brewery News: OR: Bend: 10 Barrel Brewing Co. responds after winning 3 medals at The Great American Beer Festival

10 Barrel Brewing Co. took out a gold medal and two bronze medals at this year’s Great American Beer Festival (GABF) - the largest commercial beer competition in the world that took place last weekend in Denver, CO. The competition awarded 268 medals chosen from 5,507 competition entries from 1,309 breweries hailing from 50 states plus Washington, D.C. 

Bend’s 10 Barrel brought home a gold for Cucumber Crush in the Field Beer category, a bronze for Amber Waves of Grain in the American-Style Wheat Beer and a bronze for Power To The People American Stout in the American-Style Stout category.

Winning a total of three medals tied up 10 Barrel for most medals won at the competition, alongside fellow Oregon brewery Barley Brown’s Brew Pub, Devil’s Backbone Brewing Co. and Left Hand Brewing Co. 

Partner, Jeremy Cox, says “We’re just trying to make rad beers and represent Central Oregon in the craft scene. It was a big day for us. GABF is the Super Bowl of beer awards and our brewers work extremely hard pushing the envelope so I'm glad they could get recognized for their hard work.”
