Brewery News: WA: Seattle: Reuben's Brews celebrates the taprooms 'tap takeover' accomplishment with an Advent Calendar.

An Advent calendar is a poster or card with twenty-four small doors, one to be opened each day from 1st December until Christmas Eve. Each door conceals a picture. -"Information on Advent Calendars - History and traditions"

Started yesterday, December 1st, Reuben's Brews is celebrating the breweries recent accomplishment - hosting 24 Reuben's Brews beers - by commemorating it with a, you guessed it, Advent Calendar.

If you had an advent calendar as a kid, you probably remember the excitement of finding out what was behind each little door. Whether it was a picture or a piece of chocolate, every day held a little magic and mystery.

This December, we’re going to recreate advent calendar magic in the best possible way…with beer in our taproom! Here’s how it will work:

Come by the taproom to pick up an advent calendar punch card. Each morning between Dec. 1 and Dec. 24, we’ll announce the day’s beer on Facebook. When you come in and purchase a pint of that beer, you’ll get it punched on your card.

You can earn prizes as you go:

·       First six punches - Reuben’s Brews bottle opener.

·       12 punches – Reuben’s Brews pint glass

·       18 punches – Reuben’s Brews t-shirt AND a pint glass

·       24 punches – all the prizes so far, plus you’ll be entered into a drawing for the grand prize!

We understand it’s hard to come in every day, so you can “make up” for days you miss. Just order a beer from one of the previous days and you’ll get your punch. For example, if you miss Day 4, come in any day after, drink the Day 4 beer and you’ll get your Day 4 punch.

As always, there are a few rules:

·       You’ll have until Dec. 31 to get as many punches as you can.

·       Only full-size pours or growlers are eligible for punches. Sorry, no punches for tasters.

·       Advent calendar cards can only be used by one person and are non-transferable.

·       You only get the credit for beers you drink. Remember, Santa is watching and he’ll know if you try to get punches for someone else’s beer!

Swing by Reuben's Brews' taproom, between December 1st and December 31st, to collect your punch card and join in the celebration.
