Festival News: WA: Seattle: Washington Beer Collaboration Festival presented by the Washington Beer Commission, runs April 22nd & 23rd

Seattle, WA - The Washington Beer Commission is proud to announce that it will add a new craft beer tasting event to its festival calendar for 2016. The Collaboration Festival will take place Friday evening and Saturday afternoon,April 22 - 23, at the South Lake Union Discovery Center lawn (101 Westlake Ave N., Seattle, 98109). There will be 23 pairs of local breweries (list below) showcasing a specialty craft beer, that they have developed together. There will also be additional unique brews and flagship beers being served by the participating breweries.  Additionally, some great food trucks will be on hand pairing fantastic bites with these delicious beers. Tickets are on sale now at washingtonbeer.com for just $30 ($35 at the door).  Each ticket is good for eight, four ounce tastes, and additional tasting tokens are available for $2 each or three tokens for $5. Designated driver entry is just $5 and includes soda and/or water. This is a 21+ only event and the Washington Beer Commission encourages you to take public transportation or designate a driver. Please drink responsibly.

The inaugural Washington Beer Collaboration Festival opens on Friday at 4:30pm and goes until 8:30pm that night. On Saturday, the doors will open at noon with the last pour just before 6pm. Tasting festivals are the primary source of income for the Washington Beer Commission with all proceeds going toward the promotion and marketing of Washington craft beer.
