Brewery News: WA: Bellingham: Chuckanut Brewery & Kuslshan Brewery release English Mild Ale

Press Release

With both Chuckanut and Kulshan breweries almost neighbors the creation of a beer together was inevitable! And it has happened with the brewing of an English Mild Ale. The tapping starts at The James Street Kulshan on April 21st at 5 pm with all the brewers. The release event will then move to Chuckanut where the mild will be served on draft at 7pm. The back patio will be open at Chuckanut for people to drink and mingle with the brewers. Pints are $4.50 at both breweries. Beer is always best enjoyed with your neighbor!

The Mild is a criminally underrepresented beer style. The low alcohol percentage doesn't do it justice for how complex a malt flavor there is. Malt and caramel are part of the flavor and aroma profile, while chocolate and roast malt tones contribute as well. Hop bitterness is low but keeps the beer from being overly sweet. This beer is very low in alcohol, yet still medium-bodied due to increased malts.
