Celebrate the union of brewing and the outdoors with Beer Made By Walking, October 7th, at Naked City Brewery and Taproom

This coming October 7th the 2017 Seattle Beers Made By Walking series is coming to a close with the tapping of 10 Washington Trail Inspired beers. Each beer is inspired by local plants on hikes the brewers trekked over the summer organized by Washington Wild. Each beer is a unique, drinkable portrait of the landscape.

This special tapping event takes place at Naked City Brewery & Taphouse this Oct. 7th from 1:00-5:00pm PST. Tickets, available from Washington Wild, are $20 and include entry and eight 4 oz. pours. All proceeds of this event are donated to Washington Wild to help protect public lands, wild spaces, and clean and healthy watersheds in Washington State.

Beer List

Bale Breaker Brewing – A kettle sour brewed with cherries. This beer was inspired by the wild cherries that grow around the Cherry Creek Falls trail. 4.3% ABV, 8 IBU

Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery - Foraging in The Uncanny Valley – Pale Ale featuring Skagit Valley Malt with flavors of rosemary, dandelion, juniper and yarrow. 6.2% ABV; 35 IBU

Flying Lion Brewing – Sumac Rose Hip Black IPA - A pleasant, rosy-black with moderate smokiness and mild astringency from the roasted malts. The addition of equal parts Sumac and Rose Hips accentuate citrusy character of this piney and fruity CDA. Aromas of the Columbus and Simcoe dry hop round out the slightly tart, full bodied beer! Inspired by and brewed for the 2017 Seattle Beers Made By Walking series! 7.5% ABV, 56 IBUs

Fremont Brewing – Spruce Tip Lush IPA - Lush IPA infused with local spruce tips inspired by the Cherry Creek Falls hike in Duvall, WA. 7.0% ABV, 80 IBU

Hellbent Brewing Company - Double Berry DANG! Citra IPA – Our cask conditioned DANG! Citra IPA is laced with fresh elderberries and fresh blueberries because we were inspired by local ingredients from opposite sides of the Cascade Mountains. 7.1% ABV, 60 IBU

Hi-Fi Brewing – Earth Angel - Brown ale brewed with Chanterelle and Portobello mushrooms inspired by wild mushrooms spotted along the Wallace Falls Trail. 5% ABV, 46 IBU

Lantern Brewing - Snoqualmie Foothills Stout - Stout with elderberry, cherry, and alder wood smoked sea salt. 6.0% ABV

Machine House Brewery - Golden Ale infused with Salal berries and Oregon Grape. 4.5% ABV

Naked City Brewery & Taphouse - Who's Drinking Filbert Grape? - Amber Ale infused with Oregon Grapes and Filberts Inspired by our hike along Cherry Creek Falls Trail in Duvall, WA. 6% ABV, 23 IBU
