In time for colder nights and shorter days, Steamworks releases Winter Lager

Press Release

September 28th, 2017 (Burnaby, BC) As the days get shorter, nights get longer and west coasters trade in their paddleboards for umbrellas, Steamworks is turning to an atypical beer style to help provide folks comfort on those longer nights; a lager.

Steamworks’ new Winter Lager, launching today, is a beer designed for the west coast winter. A rich flavour yet crisp finish make it a versatile beer, perfect for the unique variety of winter months on the coast. Whether an apres ski or just apres trying to find a cab in the rain, it’s a comforting yet refreshing lager that will leave craft drinkers reaching for another.

Steamworks brewmaster Julia Hanlon expands on the new release “We set out to brew a beer that was the perfect embodiment of winter on the west coast. It’s crisp and satisfying with enough going on in the body and finish to keep things interesting.”

The Winter Lager follows Steamworks popular Summer Ale in a convenient tall-can 4-pack.The beer is available now at the Steamworks Taproom and Gastown liquor store and can soon be found at liquor stores and local watering holes throughout the province.
