Coming in at #2 in our Sketchbook Series is a long-time barrel aged farmhouse favorite, OUDE VAT [6.8% abv]. This bière de coupage (a blend of fresh farmhouse puncheon beer & casks of aged ale) is dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc, Cashmere, & Belma. Notes of white grape, bouquet of sour citrus and accents of sherry, funk & oak spice.
… is a low gravity ale brewed in collaboration with The Beer Junction. It is a 2.5% ABV pale ale featuring the Australasian hops Riwaka & Kohatu for aromas of kiwi, melon, and grass. Brewed with flaked oats and vanilla to give some texture to such a low gravity beer. Flavors of kiwi, bright citrus fruits, and light tropical notes on a lean body dissolve into pungent woody characteristics and grapefruit on the crisp dry finish. Aged in Westward Whiskey barrels, “Hodgepodge is possibly the most approachable of the barrel aged beers we’re releasing,” Dave explains. “Dark chocolate, roast, and rye spice balance with some tasty oak to create a complex and very drinkable barrel aged stout. It’s the driest of this year’s releases, but it still packs a heavy punch at 12% ABV.” It’s also the smallest batch of the Stout Month bottles, so grab one while you can.
To celebrate the Aslan Depot's third anniversary, our Depot GM (Will) and Head Brewer (Austin) got together to create something very special. 3 Deep is a blend of two different saisons and two separate barrels of lager aged on Brettanomyces. This beer has a clean pineapple brett character and a light, pleasant acidity that pairs nicely with the oaky barrel and bready grain notes. The lighter body and slightly higher carbonation give this beer an almost champagne-like characteristic, perfect for celebrating. As strange as it might feel to celebrate right now, we should take a moment to raise a glass and appreciate that we've made it through another year!
Known for both its devious nature and its elegant flavor profile, Belgian Golden Strong is a style popularized by the Belgian brewery Duvel. Belgian pilsner malt and German noble hops dance beautifully in this beer, creating a balanced beer that is dry up front, and has a bready and slightly sweet finish. No matter the time of year, this beer is a celebration of life.

A blend of 20 month Cabernet Sauvignon BBL aged sour ale, which underwent refermentation on 118lbs of second use wild Italian plums, and new American oak aged foeder beer. Oak, pineapple, earthy funk and plum on the nose. A melange of bright fruit flavors enveloped in oak and a hint of vanilla and some minerality dissolves into vinous notes and subtle plum. Dry, acidic, & complex finish of oak tannins, grape skins, and plum noyaux.
