Beer Release: OR: Get Them Now … Block 15 Brewing’s Glo Golden Lager, Summer Knights Kolsch, and Vienna Lager
Can’t say enough about this brewery in Corvallis. Since the first time this writer has had their beers he hasn’t stopped wondering what will come next from them. Recently announced in their newsletter are a few new beers.
Summer is here and we have brewed up several lower alcohol thirst quencing brews for the season.
Glo, Golden Lager
After several months of re-tooling our Glo Golden Ale we are pleased to announce that Glo is now permanently a lager! Glo is brewed with 100% Organic malts and fine noble hops. Fermented with a classic Czech Pilsner yeast at cool temperatures and then lagered extensively at near freezing temperatures. Glo pours a sparkling clear pint that drinks crisp and refreshing with subtle hop flavor and a clean pilsner finish. 4.75%alc/vol 12BU
Summer Knights, German Kolsch
Our special ale developed for and served at the Corvallis Knights Baseball games. Brewed in the German Kolsch tradition with Pilsner malts, German Hops and special Kolsch yeast. This ale yeast ferments at cooler temperatures resulting in lager like qualities. Summer Knights pours a clear golden pint with crisp pilsner aromas, light fruit notes, and a hop balanced finish. 4.5%alc/vol, 20BU
Vienna Lager
Vienna style lager brewed with German Pilsner, Vienna, and Cara-red malt. Gently hopped with Hallertau, Saaz, & Liberty. Our Vienna lager is fermented cool with lager yeast and cold stored for a smooth malty finish. 4.5%alc/vol, 21 BU
