Pike Brewing Company releases Reunion IPA in cans and on draft, throughout the Seattle area.

Ask yourself what comes to mind when you hear the words beer birthday or brewery anniversary? Do you think of corks, escaping from champagne bottles? Do you imagine someone blowing out candles? Or do you keep things simple and instead envision the owner or owners, standing side-by-side with their arms raised in a toast? Hopefully, in a few short weeks, that's what many of you will be doing at Pike Brewing Company's #Pike30 anniversary. But if you can't wait, the brewery has released their limited-edition Reunion IPA, for those wishing to pre funk before the big date.

Conceived, organized, and brewed by many of Pike Brewing Company's current and former brewers, cellarmen (ahem, cellar people), and assistant brewers; Reunion IPA is as much a reflection on the brewery's past as much as an homage to its current, history-making present.

Brewed with a combination of old-school Centennial, Warrior, and new school El Dorado hops; Reunion IPA starts with a Pilsner malt foundation from friends at Skagit Valley Malting. Brewed over the course of several hours, the beer eventually is transferred into a stainless steel cradle, where it is nurtured along with the help of Charlie's Fist Bump - a hybrid strain developed to honor the brewing industries godfather of homebrewing, Charlie Papazian. Now available in cans and on draft, Pike Reunion IPA will inspire thoughts pineapples, grapefruits, stone fruit all complimented by floral character.

Either consumed at Pike Brewing Company's Pub, the Microbrewery Museum, or in cans; the brewery hopes you'll share your moment as you "Celebrate #Pike30: Raise a glass to the future of Seattle beer"!
