Pacific Northwest – It’s unavoidable to be sure, but that date hangs there staring at you for an entire year, New Year’s Eve. Oh sure you could sit at home, take up dance lessons, or spend a night in a drunken haze while singing cover songs from a karaoke machine, or you can try one of these ideas. Although they aren’t sponsoring a party at the tasting room, they are encouraging people to come and fill up a growler. On the 30th and 31st they will be taking a buck off their regularly priced ($8.50) growler fills.

If you have been to an Elysian Brewer’s Night, or a beer festival you have probably seen this shirt / hoodie and wondered where you can find this beer. Tonight at the Capitol Hill location they are releasing this beer after a five year hiatus. AK-47 is a unique Malt Liquor unlike its more domestic cousins. While there enjoy the other beers they will have on draft throughout the night.

Goofy hats, establishing new and continued conversations with fellow enthusiasts, and midnight toasts await. Look for bottles of Deus, Malheur Brut, Black Bubbles, Delmas Blanquette de Limoux, Codorniu Pinot Noir Cava Brut, or another tasty beverage, being uncorked at midnight. If you need something less memorable you can swing in for a pint of cask condition Elliott Bay Demolition IPA. And for those that hang out for the long haul a cask of Diamond Knot Industrial IPA.
Also, if you need a little pick me up the following day BPP will be featuring draft pours of Stone Double Bastard, 21st Amendment Monk’s Blood, and Slaapmutske Tripel Nightcap.
