Brewery News: WA: 3/20 & 3/22 Foggy Noggin celebrates their 4th year with Vertical Tasting and Party

March is nearly over and Bothell's Foggy Noggin Brewing doesn't want you to forget about the weekend. Next Saturday the brewery is celebrating their 4th year of business. As part of the celebration the brewery has been brewing beer in preparation. Plus the brewery is allowing people an opportunity to purchase their Anniversary Ale both during and before the Anniversary Party.

We are brewing up our 2014 Anniversary Ale - English Old Ale for this event, and will be doing a very limited bottling of this. Since this beer is limited and only available in bottles, you will want to get here early to make sure you get some.  This is a beer we plan to brew annually and one that will be great to age in your beer cellar. This beer is an Old Ale that I am confident will be your favorite beer.

Like previous years, the brewery is hosting two vertictal tasting parties on the Thursday and Friday before Saturday's party. Included in the tasting will be a four year vertical of Anniversary English Old Ale. Cost for the event is $30 for either the 6pm-7:30pm session on Thursday or Friday. Included in your purchase is 4 4 oz tastes (1 for each year of Anniversary Ale) and a take-away, 22 ounce, bottle of Anniversary English Old Ale 2014. Stop by or call the brewery to reserve a spot at this year's private tasting. 

If you prefer to visit the brewery on Saturday the 22nd, the brewery will be offering the same 4 years of Anniversary Ale in the form of a  $5 tasting tray. 

Finally the brewery is offering those wish to purchase bottles in bulk (as in 1 case per customer) the opportunity pay in advance this Saturday (March 15th). After paying for your case you're welcome to re-visit the brewery in the coming weeks. With doors opening at 1pm this will feel more like a block party, given the brewery's tasting room location.

Vertical Tasting Details

The vertical tasting was so popular last year, we are bringing it back.  We plan to have 2 sessions for 20 people max in each session.  Session times are 6-7:30pm Thursday - March 20th and Friday - March 21st.  The cost is $30/person.  Each participant will have the opportunity to take part in a vertical tasting of the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions of our Anniversary Ale.We have recently opened a few bottles of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Anniversary Aleand are very happy with the aging qualities time has graced on this beer.  Additionally, each participant will take home 1 bottle of 2014 Anniversary Ale (English Old Ale) before the official release. 
Payment must be received before the event.  Our tasting room will be open 3 Saturdays (March 1st, 8th and 15th) before this event.  Get registered ASAP, as we expect these to fill up quickly.
