The Executive Director is expected to provide project management in implementing the structure, process and financials to lead the organization to performance excellence and is responsible for managing all elements of the Guild including fundraising, membership, financial, events, media and marketing. This position will require passion for the industry, working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating many different concurrent projects, and operating in a self-sufficient and public-facing role.
Overall Programs and Mission:
Identify organization and membership needs within the WBG mission and in accordance with WBG bylaws
Provide guidance to the board of directors when developing long-term and short-term planning, strategies, and programs
Implement needed programs and initiatives
Provide regular reports and communications regarding these programs and activities to board of directors and members
Association Management:
Work with Treasurer and Board to develop annual budget, set revenue goals, and prioritize spending to maximize association resources
Approve all payments and expenditures within the approved annual budget
Hire, train, coach, and supervise staff and contractors
Act as keeper of the bylaws and ensure association activities are in accordance with association bylaws
Effectively manage business finances and operations
Develop and maintain association polices
Conduct annual board of directors’ election in accordance with WBG bylaws. Identify and recruit board members, and provide onboarding for new board members
Events:
Oversee all aspects of WBG event productions, including but not limited to quarterly board of directors and membership meetings, WA Craft Beer Summit, WA Pint Days, annual Collab event, and other guild events
Manage contractors and staff, and execute contracts with venues and suppliers
Schedule, promote, and facilitate quarterly membership meetings
Create event sponsorship categories & solicit sponsors for all events
Prepare invoices for event sponsorship & exhibitor registration
Answer exhibitor/sponsor/attendee inquiries
Organize and market Summit, Pint Days, & Collab events with brewery, allied members and the general public
WBG WordPress website maintenance and designing of event webpages
Set-up of online event ticketing
Assist with membership promotions and WBG social media
Membership Benefits and Programs:
Identify and research programs and services valuable to membership. Negotiate and execute contracts where appropriate, including membership benefit programs and small business support contract service
Serve as lead and manage outreach contracts/programs and prepare quarterly reports
Track, generate and process membership renewals, and monitor membership monthly budget goals
Serve as central point of contact for members regarding membership
Communicate membership value and benefits to current and prospective members
Continue to craft membership development & recruitment strategies, & prepare marketing materials
Monitor and report on key metrics related to membership growth and engagement
Collaborate with Board on wide range of fundraising and engagement strategies for members
Maintain WBG iContact lists
Maintain WBG Brewers forum, and troubleshoot member account issues
Maintain WBG membership management online member accounts
Maintain brewery and allied member online directories
Assist with generating content and editing weekly updates
Membership Support:
Field inquiries from members regarding membership benefits, events, and activities
Direct members to resources and provide compliance information when appropriate
Committees and External Engagements:
Provide leadership assistance in the creation and coordination of committees that serve to further the WBG mission and membership programs
Report committee activities to board of directors and provide committee support in coordination with the board
Bookkeeping
Assist Treasurer with revenue goal setting of income/expenses, and managing financial activity
QB’s invoicing, enter/post expense/income details, account reconciliation, track accounts receivable, and additional misc. bookkeeping duties
Reporting of DOR B&O Tax Return, City of Seattle – SELF – Business License Tax Return
ADP Payroll management & entries in QB’s
Salary & Benefits
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 a year (Depending on experience)

Requirements
5+ years working in the nonprofit sector preferred
Project management experience required
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Marketing and web design experience
Experience managing event logistics
Proficient in MS Office, Google, iContact, membership management programs, WordPress website management, QuickBooks, and Adobe applications
Experience operating Zoom, or other webinar platforms
